Save the Cat!

Hollow Point (HP) and Ran had to retrieve and deliver an old book (a damn artifact) for the Draco Foundation. It turned out that many other fractions were looking for that book too. On their road trip back to Seattle they rested in some motels and hold watch. It was winter and one evening when HP was on guard duty, he heard a scratching noise from the terrace. Of course, he checked the terrace entrance briefly and, oh dear, he found a little kitten wandering around out there in the cold. HP, the old orcish do-gooder, had to open the terrace door and take the little kitten into the cozy warmth, probably just to have his Save-the-Cat moment...

Had he known that this little kitten was in fact an ancient, free spirit called Lucifer...
