The Lady

Inktober #15, theme legend

Sometimes you don't know who you're sharing company with...

To Lucy the woman is known as Zoé Estrées and yeah, she knows her to be a free spirit, but that’s where it ends. She doesn’t understand the concept of metaplanes and magic theory is a complete stranger to her! Django, on the other hand, may get a glimpse of where they really are and how powerful the entity right in front of him really is, but even he fails to understand the situation to its full extent.

By the truly powerful, like for example Buttercup, the Great Dragon Hestaby and many others, this entity is simply known as the Lady, or if you insist, Lady Estrées ...

She’s a legend from the 4th world (The Age of Legend) and follows her own, well hidden agenda!

---

The scene shows the metaplane Tír'Malan, home of Lady Estrées. It’s unknown if anybody can visit this metaplane without being invited by the empress herself. Legends tell the story of a Great Dragon who created this metaplane just for his ally spirit, but that was eons ago, in a world long forgotten...

The metaplane resembles a big city with the flair of the Arabian Nights, consisting of a palace, a bazaar, living quarters and much more. Outside the city there is only one road leading to who knows where and a big, incredibly hot desert...

Visitors always appear outside the city walls and are confronted with the dragon-like stone guards. Cyberware or modern devices resemble steampunkish equivalents, but retain their basic functionality (at the gamemaster's discretion, similar to Court of Shadows, p. 175 Translating Characters to the Court).

If you somehow arrived through a passage of the lady, you can even acquire wondrous merchandise at the bazaar, just be aware that everything you buy there you have to pay with your own karma, no refunds! And yeah, due to the currently low mana level on Earth, most things won’t work as expected ...
